AG Holder slams S&P for 'egregious' conduct in ratings
Attorney General Eric Holder Jr., standing with a team of state attorneys general, announced Tuesday a civil suit against credit ratings agency Standard & Poor's that alleges the company essentially defrauded investors between 2004 and 2007, misrepresenting the soundness of products that were at the heart of the financial crisis.
