Citi Study: Law Firms Hurt by Weak First-Quarter Demand

A report released Wednesday by Citi Private Bank's Law Firm Group finds that demand for legal services fell 3.3 percent during the first quarter of 2013, compared with the same period last year. The report, which is based on a sample of 166 firms, also finds that revenue was up just 0.2 percent, versus 1.2 percent in the comparable quarter last year.
