GM Proposes Treating Injury Victims Equally, Plaintiffs’ Attorney Says

Reuters
General Motors Co. is devising a plan that would compensate all injury victims linked to a continuing ignition-switch recall no matter when their accident occurred, according to a Texas attorney suing the auto maker. Plaintiffs’ attorney Bob Hilliard, who met on Friday with the auto maker’s compensation expert, Kenneth Feinberg, said in an interview that Mr. Feinberg plans to propose some type of compensation for all victims regardless of whether their accident occurred before or after its July 2009 bankruptcy.
